MAPPING SALT
1 c. salt
1 c. white flour
2/3 c. water
Food coloring

Mix salt with regular white flour in a medium bowl. Add water and stir until the mixture is as thick as icing. Add 3 drops or more of food coloring, depending on the shade of color desired. You can also paint the dough with poster paint after it has dried. On a board, shape moist dough into hills, valleys, oceans or rivers to make a topographical map or a 3-D diagram. Drying time will be determined by the thickness of the map or diagram.
