LAYERED LETTUCE SALAD | |
1 head lettuce, broken into sm. pieces 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen green peas, thawed and uncooked 1/2 c. diced green pepper 8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled 1 to 2 tbsp. sugar Parsley 1 c. diced celery 1 med. onion, diced 2 c. mayonnaise 4 oz. Cheddar cheese, shredded Layer first 7 ingredients in order given in a 9x12 inch glass dish. Combine mayonnaise and sugar; spread evenly over top of salad. Sprinkle with cheese. Cover and refrigerate 8 to 12 hours. Garnish with parsley before serving. Yield: about 12 servings. |
