FUDGE FROSTING 
2 (1 oz.) squares unsweetened chocolate, melted
3 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 c. butter
3 tbsp. light corn syrup
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Combine melted chocolate, sugar, syrup, salt and milk. Cook over low heat, stirring until sugar dissolves. Cook to soft ball stage, 232 degrees.

Remove from heat; add butter and cool until just warm, 110 degrees. Add vanilla and beat until mixture is of spreading consistency. Frosts tops and sides of 2 (9") layers.
