MAKE - YOUR - OWN TOASTED CEREAL 
1/3 c. chopped blanched almonds
3 c. quick-cooking or old fashioned oats
1/3 c. wheat germ
1/2 c. flaked coconut (optional)
3 tbsp. vegetable oil
1/4 c. honey
1/3 c. raisins
1/3 c. chopped, dried apples or apricots
Cinnamon to taste

In large bowl, combine almonds, oats, wheat germ, and coconut. Drizzle with oil; mix well. Drizzle with honey, mixing until well distributed. Spread evenly in a 12 x 7 1/2 baking dish. Stirring every 3 minutes, cook on HIGH 9-11 minutes in microwave or until light golden brown.

Stir in raisins and dried fruit. Set on rack until completely cooled. Spoon into a 5 or 6-cup container with a tight fitting lid. Store at room temperature or in refrigerator. Makes about 5 cups. Good with milk or as a snack.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
