CHEESE CAKE COOKIES 
1/3 c. brown sugar, packed
1 c. flour
1/2 c. walnuts, chopped (optional)
1/3 c. butter, melted
1 pkg. (8 oz.) cream cheese
1/4 c. granulated sugar
1 egg
1 tbsp. lemon juice
2 tbsp. milk or cream
1 tsp. vanilla extract

Mix brown sugar, flour and chopped nuts together in a large bowl. Stir in melted butter and mix with hands until light and crumbly. Remove one cup of mixture to be used later as topping. Place remainder in 8 inch square pan and press firmly. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes.

Beat cream cheese with 1/4 cup granulated sugar until smooth. Beat in egg, lemon juice, milk and vanilla. Pour into baked crust. Top with crumbs. Bake 25 minutes at 350 degrees.
