CARAMEL POUND CAKE | |
1/2 lb. butter 1/2 c. Crisco 1 box brown sugar 1 c. white sugar 5 lg. eggs 1 c. sweet milk 3 c. plain flour 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1 tbsp. vanilla 1 c. chopped pecans Cream butter, Crisco, add brown sugar a little at a time. Beat well. Add white sugar, beat until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beat well after each addition. After all eggs are in, beat 3 minutes. Sift baking powder with salt and flour. Add with milk alternately, put in vanilla and nuts. Bake in round pan 325 degrees 1 1/2 hours. |
