RAISIN CAKE 
1/2 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
4 c. flour
2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. allspice
2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 lb. cut raisins

Mix all together and bake at 325 degrees until cake is done.

ICING:

3 c. sugar
2 tbsp. Karo syrup
1 c. sweet milk
1 stick butter
2 tsp. vanilla

Beat all together and ice cake.
