LEMON NUT BREAD 
1/3 c. melted butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/4 tsp. almond extract
1 tbsp. grated lemon peel
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Blend butter and sugar, add beaten eggs, peel and extract. Add dry ingredients alternately with the milk. Blend just to mix. Fold in nuts, turn into greased pan (bread size). Bake at 250 degrees for 40 to 50 minutes.

In the meantime mix 3 tablespoons lemon juice and 1/4 cup sugar (be sure sugar is dissolved). Spoon this over the bread as it comes from the oven. Cool, let stand at least 5 to 8 hours before cutting.
