BUTTERSCOTCH COOKIES 
1/2 c. butter
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
2/3 c. walnuts meats, chopped
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
2 1/2 c. cake flour (sifted before measuring)
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. sour cream

Cream butter, add sugar, and cream thoroughly. Add eggs and beat well. Sift flour, baking powder, soda and salt together and add alternately to the butter mixture with the sour cream. Add vanilla and nuts. Drop by spoonfuls on greased baking sheet. Bake preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes at 400 degrees. Makes 50 medium size cookies.
