BUSHEL OF COOKIES 
5 c. sugar
2 1/2 c. butter, softened
6 eggs
12 c. flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 1/2 tbsp. baking powder
1/2 c. maple flavored syrup
2 c. milk
5 1/2 c. quick oatmeal
3 c. raisins
1 1/2 c. salted nuts

FIRST find a very LARGE bowl. In it cream sugar and butter. Beat in eggs, sift flour, soda and baking powder together. Mix syrup and milk. Add this and dry ingredients alternately to sugar and butter and egg mixture, beginning and ending with dry ingredients. Stir in oats. Grind raisins and peanuts together and stir in.

For giant size cookies drop about 1/3 cup dough on cookie sheet and spread out to about 4 inch diameter. For regular size cookies use heaping tablespoon and then flatten slightly.

Grease cookie sheet. Bake 12-15 minutes at 350 degrees. Allow to sit a minute before removing (on cookie sheet) to cool. This makes 40 giant size cookies plus 44 regular size.
