APPLE COBBLER 
FILLING:

5 c. apples
3/4 c. sugar
2 tbsp. flour
1 tbsp. lemon flavoring
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. butter
1/4 c. water

BATTER:

1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. butter
1 egg, beaten

FILLING: Peel and slice apples. Add sugar, flour, lemon, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt. Mix and put into Pyrex dish. Pour water over it and then dot with butter.

BATTER: Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and melt butter and mix. Add egg. Mix until smooth. Drop batter by tablespoon on apple filling. Bake at 375 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes.
