STANDING RIB ROAST 
Any size rib roast

Season with salt, pepper, garlic salt, basil, marjoram. Place rib side down in a shallow pan.

Roast at 375 degrees for 1 hour. Keep oven closed for 3 more hours with oven off. Start oven again, 375 degrees, before ready to serve. Rare - 35 minutes; medium rare - 40 minutes; well - 45 minutes. Remove bones and slice 1/2 to 3/4 inch. Serve at once.
