BUCKEYE BALLS 
1 1/2 c. peanut butter
1/2 c. butter
1 lb. confectionery sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate bits
2 tbsp. Crisco

Mix peanut butter, butter, vanilla and sugar with hands to form a smooth dough. Shape dough into balls. Place on wax paper on baking sheet and refrigerate. Melt chocolate and shortening together. Insert wooden pick into balls and dip into melted chocolate so that 3/4 of ball is covered. Return to waxed paper. Refrigerate 30 minutes.
