SUGAR COOKIES 
1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. powdered sugar
1 c. oil
2 sticks butter
1 egg
2 tsp. vanilla extract
2 tsp. almond extract
4 c. flour
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Beat first 7 ingredients until "fluffy". Add dry ingredients and mix together thoroughly. Cover and put in refrigerator for 4 to 6 hours (optional). Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet and pat out into circles.

Bake 10 to 12 minutes at 350 degrees or until barely brown on edges. Ice when cool.

ICING:

1 box powdered sugar
1 cube butter
1 tsp. almond extract
1 egg
Milk (enough to reach desired thin consistency)

Mix.
