BEEF 'N POTATO BAKE | |
4 c. frozen hash brown potatoes (thawed) 3 tbsp. vegetable oil 1/8 tsp. black pepper 1 pkg. brown gravy mix 1 c. water 1/2 tsp. garlic salt 1 pkg. (10 oz.) frozen mixed vegetables 1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese 1 can (2.8 oz.) Durkee French Fried Onions In a shallow 1 1/2 quart baking dish combine potatoes, oil and pepper. Firmly press mixture across bottom and up the sides of the dish to form a shell. Bake uncovered at 400 degrees for 15 minutes. Meanwhile in skillet, brown beef; drain. Stir in gravy mix, water and garlic salt; bring to a boil. Add mixed vegetables; reduce heat to medium and cook 5 minutes. Stir in 1/2 cup cheese and 1/2 can French fried onions; place in potato shell. Bake at 350 degrees uncovered for 15 minutes. Sprinkle with remaining cheese and onions; bake 5 minutes longer. |
