6 oz. chocolate chips 2 egg whites 1/2 tsp. vinegar 1/2 c. flaked coconut 1/8 tsp. salt 1/2 c. sugar 1/2 tsp. vanilla 1/2 c. chopped walnuts Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Melt chips in top of double boiler over hot water. Cool. Add salt to egg whites and beat until foamy. Add sugar gradually, one tablespoon at a time, beating after each addition until stiff peaks form. Add vanilla and vinegar. Fold in coconut, nuts and melted chocolate. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased baking sheet. Bake 10 minutes. Remove immediately to cooling racks. Makes about 3 dozen. |
