MACARONI LOAF 
1/4 lb. butter
2 tbsp. chopped parsley
2 tbsp. chopped onion
1 green pepper, chopped
2 c. grated American cheese
2 c. scalded milk
2 c. fresh bread crumbs
6 eggs, well beaten
3 pimientos, cut in strips
1 tsp. salt
Pepper to taste
3 c. cooked macaroni

Pour milk and butter over bread crumbs. Add macaroni to eggs, cheese, pepper, etc., until you have used all ingredients. Bake in ungreased bread pans at 350 degrees for 1 hour (or longer). Place the pan in a pan of water to bake.

MUSHROOM SAUCE:

1 lg. (8 oz.) can mushrooms with liquid
2 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. flour
1 c. milk

Brown butter in saucepan and add flour and milk and liquid from mushrooms. When it thickens add mushrooms cut up into small pieces. Make plenty of this sauce! Tarragon is a good seasoning. Serves 10.
