CHERRY COBBLER 
1/4 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. milk
1 (No. 2) can cherries
1/4 c. sugar
1 c. fruit juice (optional)

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Sift dry ingredients together. Stir into butter, sugar mixture with milk. Beat and pour into greased 2 quart casserole dish. Pour cherries over batter. Sprinkle with sugar. Pour fruit juice over top. Bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes. Makes 8 servings.
