BARBEQUE SAUCE 
4 c. catsup
1 1/2 c. dark molasses
1/4 c. red wine vinegar
3 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/4 c. lemon juice
1 c. finely chopped onion
2 cloves garlic, chopped fine
1/4 c. brown sugar
3 tbsp. dry mustard
2 tsp. Tabasco sauce
1-3 tsp. cayenne pepper (depending on how hot & spicy you want the sauce to be)

Combine all ingredients in a large pot that has a lid. Mix well and add up to 2 cups water. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Reduce heat, partially cover mixture and simmer very gently for 1 hour, stirring frequently. Add a bit more water if sauce gets too thick.

Note: Tabasco sauce and cayenne pepper can be left out of recipe if you wish for a milder BBQ sauce.
