MAL - GAL'S STRAWBERRY PIE 
2 qt. strawberries
1 c. sugar
1 c. cream cheese
1 c. Cool Whip
3 tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 tsp. brandy flavoring
Graham cracker pie crust
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. milk
1 c. water
1/2 c. sugar

Smash 1 quart strawberries and place in large saucepan. Add water and cook until boiling. Strain, then return to pan. Add sugar and brandy flavoring. Return to boil.

Mix cornstarch with 1/4 cup water; mix. Add slowly to strawberry liquor. Let thicken. Remove mix in large bowl cream cheese, Cool Whip, butter, milk and 1/2 cup sugar; mix well. Spread in bottom of crust. Add whole unstemmed strawberries, neatly on cream cheese mixture. Pour cooled glaze over all. Cool in refrigerator 1/2 hour. Top with whipped cream or Cool Whip.
