CAROL'S SHOWER PUNCH | |
4 blue Kool Aid pkgs. (pink lemonade if for a girl) 4 c. sugar 1 (12 oz.) frozen lemonade (pink lemonade if for a girl) 6 c. pineapple juice (one large 46 oz can) Lemon or lime slices, mint sprigs (optional) 5 qt. (20 c.) water 2-liter Sprite, 7-UP, or equal Few drops of blue food coloring (red if for a girl) Mix dry ingredients together and add all the liquid except the Sprite. Mix in drops of food coloring if necessary to get desired color. Store in 4 gallon freezer bags (needs room to expand, so fill bags half full). Let them freeze flat. Take out 5 hours before serving (9am if shower's at 2pm). Place bags on paper towels to thaw (they sweat). If not thawed enough, you can put on defrost in the microwave to get to desired consistency. If they start to thaw too much, place in fridge. Right before serving, pour all four bags in big pot and add the entire 2-liter of Sprite. Mix up and put in punch bowl. Add lemon or lime slices or mint springs. Other flavors of Kool Aid can be substituted if desired. Submitted by: Maggie Ramsey |
