SPICED PECANS 
2 tbsp. cold water
1 slightly beaten egg whites
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. each cloves, cinnamon and allspice
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. pecan halves

Add water to slightly beaten egg white. Add sugar and spices and salt. Mix well. Let stand until sugar dissolves about 15 minutes. Dip nuts in mixture. Spread on a greased cookie sheet, flat side down. Bake at 250 degrees for 1 hour.
