SAUERKRAUT AND SAUSAGE CASSEROLE | |
8 Brown and Serve sausages, cut into 1 inch pieces 1 tbsp. butter 1 (16 oz.) can Bavarian Style Sauerkraut, well drained 2 tbsp. brown sugar 1 egg, beaten 2 tbsp. grated onion 2 1/2 c. prepared mashed potatoes Brown sausage in butter over medium heat 5-6 minutes, turning frequently. Stir in sauerkraut and brown sugar, warm through. Pour mixture into a greased 2 quart casserole; set aside. Add egg and onion to mashed potatoes. Stir well. Spread potato mixture over sauerkraut; bake in preheated 350 degree oven, uncovered for 25 minutes. |
