STRAWBERRY MUFFINS 
1/4 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. milk
1 c. sliced strawberries (or fruit of your choice)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream butter and sugar in bowl until fluffy. Add egg; mix lightly. Sift flour, salt, and baking powder together. Add alternately with milk to butter mixture. Stir just to blend; fold in the berries. Spoon batter into 12 greased muffin tins. Sprinkle with granulated sugar. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until cake tester comes out clean.
