APPLE PIE DELIGHT 
2 lg. apples, peeled, cored and thinly sliced
1 1/4 c. sugar
2 tbsp. water
1/2 stick butter, divided in half
1 tsp. sugar
2 frozen pie shells, thawed

Put the apple slices in bowl and sprinkle the sugar and water over them. Let stand 10 minutes. Pour mixture into pie shell. Dot with half the butter. Add top pie shell. Seal with fork and cut several slits. Dot with remaining butter and sprinkle with a teaspoon of sugar. Bake in a preheated oven at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes or until brown.
