CORNISH BISCUIT COOKIES 
3 1/2 c. all purpose flour
3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 c. sugar
1 c. butter, softened
1 c. milk
2 eggs
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. raisins, or more
Sugar
Walnuts (opt.)

Heat oven to 375 degrees. In large mixer bowl combine all ingredients except raisins; beat at low speed scraping bowl often until well mixed, 2 to 3 minutes. Stir in raisins. Drop by teaspoonfuls 2" apart onto a well greased cookie sheet. Sprinkle with sugar. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Yield: 7 dozen. This is a soft cookie.
