HARD CANDY 
3 3/4 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. light corn syrup
1 c. water
Powdered sugar
1 tsp. flavoring

Mix first 3 ingredients in a large saucepan. Stir over medium heat until sugar dissolves. Boil without stirring until 310 degrees or syrup forms hard thread in cold water. Remove from heat, after boiling has cased stir in flavoring and coloring. Pour onto lightly greased cookie sheet. Cool. Break. Store in airtight container. Makes 2 pounds.
