1 c. white sugar
1 c. white corn syrup
1 1/3 c. peanut butter, crunchy or smooth
6 c. Special K cereal

Mix sugar and syrup, let come to a boil. Remove from heat and stir in peanut butter. Pour over cereal and mix. Press into buttered 9 x 13 inch pan. Melt together over low heat and spread over top of mixture:

1 pkg. chocolate chips (12 oz. light chocolate chips)
1 (6 oz.) pkg. butterscotch chips

Let cool until topping is hard, then cut into bars.
