German chocolate cake mix 1 1/2 sticks butter 1/2 c. evaporated milk 14 oz. bag caramels 1 c. chocolate chips 1 c. pecans or walnuts Mix cake according to box directions. Pour half of batter in a 9x13 inch well greased pan. Bake 15-20 minutes at 350 degrees. Mix caramels, butter and evaporated milk to make sauce. Pour sauce over baked cake, sprinkle chips and nuts. Add rest of cake batter. Bake 15-20 minutes or more. |
