SOURDOUGH HOT CAKES 
Night before:

1 c. starter
1 c. water
1 egg
1 tsp. salt
1 3/4 c. flour
1/4 c. sugar

Beat hard with wooden spoon until smooth.

In the morning divide this in half and set aside 1/2 for another day. To the rest, add: (fold in) :

2 tbsp. oil
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda

Let rise a few minutes and fry into pancakes. Will keep at room temperature for a couple of days then refrigerate...spoils easily.
