CORNBREAD CAKE 
1 1/2 c. self rising flour
1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. light brown sugar, firmly packed
1 c. vegetable oil
1 tsp. vanilla
4 eggs, beaten
1 c. chopped nuts

Sift first 3 ingredients together. Then add next 3 ingredients and mix well. Add chopped nuts, mixing well.

Grease and flour a 13"x9"x2" pan. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and bake 40 to 45 minutes.

Nope. Cornbread cakes have no cornmeal. Go figure. Probably something historic. Or a "faux" version.
