SWEET AND SOUR CHICKEN WINGS | |
2 lbs. wings, cut into 3 pieces (use tips for stick) 2 eggs, beaten 2 c. cornstarch or more The first piece of chicken (with 1 bone), push meat to one side. Second piece (with 2 bones), cut at ends with knife and push meat off the bone. Twist to remove, then push to one side. Dip wings in eggs; roll in cornstarch. Fry until nicely browned or kind of. SAUCE: 1/2 c. sugar 1/4 c. Japanese vinegar 1/4 c. stock or water 3 tbsp. catsup 1 tbsp. soy sauce 1/2 tsp. salt Cook until sugar is dissolved. Dip in sauce and place in roasting pan at 350 degrees for 20-30 minutes. Turn once during cooking. |
