BUTTERSCOTCH BARS 
1 c. butter
2 1/4 c. brown sugar
4 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 c. chopped nuts (optional)

Melt butter and brown sugar. Cool. Add remaining ingredients. Mix thoroughly. Spread in well greased 16 x 10 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Cut and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
