CHRISTMAS FUDGE | |
2/3 cup evaporated milk 2 tbsp. butter 1 2/3 cups sugar 1/2 tsp. salt 2 cups miniature marshmallows (about 4 oz.) 1/2 cup chopped pistachio nuts 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips 1/4 cup crushed peppermint sticks Mix first 4 ingredients in saucepan. Bring to a boil and cook for 4 to 5 minutes, stirring constantly. (Note: begin timing when the mixture bubbles). Remove from heat and add marshmallows, chocolate chips and nuts. Stir briskly until marshmallows are melted. Pour into buttered 8-inch square pan and sprinkle with candy. Cool thoroughly until firm. Cut into squares. Makes about 2 pounds. Submitted by: L.
