CRANBERRY APPLE RELISH 
2 navel oranges
1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 lb. fresh or frozen cranberries
1/8 tsp. ground allspice
1 tart apple, pared, seeded and finely chopped

Grate 1 teaspoon orange rind, reserve. Squeeze orange and enough additional oranges to make 1 cup orange juice.

Combine orange juice and brown sugar in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil; add cranberries and allspice. Lower heat; simmer 5 minutes or until berries begin to pop. Remove from heat; stir in apples and reserved orange rind; cool. Chill well. Makes about 4 cups. Freezes well.
