Melt about 2 tablespoons brown sugar in pan. Place a slice of ham about 1 1/2 inch thick in the pan and brown it on both sides. Pour 1 cup of milk around it and bake at 300 degrees for about 30 minutes. Remove the ham, thicken the gravy and serve.
