FRESH STRAWBERRY PIE 
1 baked 9 inch pie crust
1 carton fresh strawberries
1 (3 oz.) box strawberry Jello
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. sugar
2 tbsp. cornstarch
1 1/2 c. water
Whipped cream (optional)

In a sauce pan put sugar, cornstarch, water and dash of salt. Bring to a boil just until mixture turns clear. Remove from heat and add Jello and vanilla. Mix well until Jello dissolves. Cool mixture in refrigerator.

Line baked pie crust with washed, sliced strawberries. Pour cooled mixture over strawberries and place in refrigerator until Jello sets. Top with whipped cream when serving if desired.
