ENGLISH MUFFIN BREAD 
2 pkgs. dry yeast
6 c. flour
1 tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. salt
2 c. milk
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. water

Combine 3 cups flour, yeast, sugar, salt and soda. Heat liquids until very warm (120 to 130 degrees). Add to dry mixture, beat well. Stir in rest of flour (3 cups). Makes a STIFF batter. Spoon into greased loaf pans. Sprinkle pans with cornmeal and also sprinkle tops with cornmeal. Cover and let rise in warm place 45 minutes. Bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes. Remove from pans and immediately cool. Excellent toast. 2 loaves.
