MARTIN'S FAMOUS CHILI | |
1 large onion, diced 2 (15 oz. ea.) cans chili beans (hot or mild) 2 (15 oz. ea.) cans kidney beans 2 (15 oz. ea.) cans black beans 2 (15 oz. ea.) cans diced tomatoes (Hunts) 2 lb. ground beef 1 (8 oz.) pkg. sliced mushrooms 1 (4 oz.) box Chili Kit (Carrol Shelby) 1 (46 oz.) can tomato juice (Campbell's) 1 tsp. cayenne pepper Creole seasoning, to taste (Tony's) Cook ground beef in skillet on low heat, seasoning meat with creole seasoning. Dice onion. Then in a large pot combine the beans, tomatoes, sliced mushrooms, onion and Chili Kit, mixing well. Add tomato juice, drain then add meat, bring to a boil then reduce heat and cook for 30 minutes. Note: For those who like their chili a little more spicy you can add diced jalapenos and an additional teaspoon of cayenne pepper. Enjoy! Submitted by: MWS |
