BREAKFAST PUDDING (EICH MILCH) 
3 c. milk, divided (regular, 2% or skim)
2 eggs
1/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt, rounded
1/3 c. flour, scant

Warm 2 cups milk in a heavy pan or skillet. Meanwhile, mix 1 cup milk with the other ingredients and add to the warm milk. Cook, stirring often until mixture is slightly thickened and serve with toast.

This is an old German recipe that has been handed down in my family. The salt is what gives it its unique flavor, I believe.
