LEMON NUT BREAD | |
3/4 c. sugar 3 tbsp. soft butter 2 eggs 2 1/4 c. all purpose flour 3 tbsp. baking powder 1 tsp. salt 1 c. milk 1 c. finely chopped nuts 3 tsp. grated lemon rind Cream sugar, butter, and eggs. Sift dry ingredients alternately with milk; blend well. Stir in walnuts and lemon rind. Pour into greased 9 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pan; let stand 20 minutes. Bake at 350 degrees for 55-60 minutes. Remove from pan immediately and cool. Add 1 cup raisins. Makes 2 loaves. |
