SCALLOPED HASH BROWNS 
2 lbs. frozen hash browns, thawed
1/2 c. melted butter
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 tsp. pepper
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 pt. sour cream (2 c.)
2 c. grated cheddar cheese

Combine all ingredients. Place in greased 3-quart casserole; cover with topping. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes uncovered.

TOPPING:

2 c. crushed corn flakes
1/4 c. melted butter
