POPPY SEED BREAD 
2 1/2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. poppy seeds
3 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. milk
1/3 c. vegetable oil
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease bottom only of loaf pan 9 x 5 x 3 or 2 pans 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 2 1/2 inch. Mix all ingredients; beat 30 seconds. Pour into pan. Bake until wooden pick comes out clean. 9 inch loaf 55 to 65 minutes, 8 1/2 inch loaf 50 to 60 minutes. Cool slightly. Remove from pan.
