QUICK 'N EASY BUTTERSCOTCH CHIP
BARS
 
1 1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
3/4 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
1 egg
1/2 c. butter, softened
1 tsp. vanilla
1 (12 oz.) pkg. butterscotch chips (chocolate chips can be substituted for the butterscotch chips)
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Blend flour with baking soda and salt. Cream together sugar, egg, butter and vanilla. Blend dry ingredients with creamed ingredients. Fold in chips and nuts. Spread evenly in a 9x9 pan. Bake for 25-30 minutes. Allow to cool before cutting and serving.
