1/2 c. peanut butter
1/2 c. butter
1 1/2 c. plain flour
4 tbsp. cocoa
1 c. granulated sugar
1 egg, beaten
1 tsp. baking soda in 1 tbsp. water

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream butter, peanut butter, sugar, and chocolate. Add beaten egg and soda water. Mix well. Add flour and mix until well blended. Roll into small balls.

Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten each one with a wet fork. Bake 10 minutes. Remove from oven with a spatula. Remove cookies from cookie sheet while hot.

Makes about 3 dozen.
