DATE-NUT PUDDING | |
1 c. dates, cut up 1 tsp. baking soda 1 c. boiling water 1 tbsp. butter 1 c. sugar 1 egg 1 c. flour dash of salt 1 c. chopped nuts Mix soda with dates. Pour boiling water over dates and stir. Let set while mixing the rest. Mix butter, sugar and egg. Add to dates. Put tablespoon flour over nuts. Stir and mix with date mixture. Batter will be thin. Put in 8 x 8 pan. Bake at 350°F for 35 to 40 minutes. Note: Can be doubled for 9 x 13 pan. |
