JOAN'S PUMPKIN BREAD 
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 3/4 c. flour
1/2 c. oil
2 eggs
1 c. canned pumpkin (not pie filling)
1/2 c. water
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1/2 c. chopped dates

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 2 small loaf pans and line with waxed paper. Sift dry ingredients together. Add oil, eggs, pumpkin, and water to dry ingredients. Mix at medium speed until well blended. Stir in nuts and dates. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until center springs back.
