MACARONI SUPPER DISH 
1/2 lb. bacon
1/2 c. celery
1 onion
1 green pepper
1 can tomatoes
1 c. cooked macaroni
1/2 lb. Cheddar cheese
Bread crumbs
2 tbsp. sugar

Fry bacon until crisp; set aside. Drain off most of fat and add chopped celery, onion and pepper. Cook slowly and season with salt, pepper and 2 tablespoons sugar. Add tomatoes and simmer until well blended. Add macaroni, cheese and bacon. Put in baking dish. Cover with bread crumbs and bake 1 hour at 325 degrees. Serves 6. Recipe given to me by a neighbor who always brought this dish to our neighborhood cookouts.
