MEXICAN PRALINES 
1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. milk
1/8 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 c. butter
1 c. chopped pecans
1 tsp. vanilla

Combine sugars, milk, salt and soda. Cook to soft ball stage (236 degrees). Add butter, pecans, and vanilla; remove from heat. Beat until mixture starts to thicken. Drop by spoonfuls onto waxed paper. Cool. Makes 1 1/2 dozen.
