UPSIDE DOWN APPLE PECAN PIE 
1 c. chopped pecans
1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
1/3 c. butter, melted
15 oz. pkg. Pillsbury all ready pie crust
1 tsp. flour
6 c. sliced peeled apples (6 med.)
1/4 c. sugar
2 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg

Combine pecans, brown sugar and butter and spread evenly over bottom of 9" pie pan. Prepare crust according to package directions. For two crust pie, placing bottom of pecan mixture in pan.

In large bowl combine apples, flour, sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. Mix lightly. Spoon into pie crust lined pan. Top with second crust and flute; cut slits in several places. Place on cookie sheet to prevent spillage. Cool pie upright in pan for 5 minutes, invert. Carefully remove pan. Bake at 375 degrees for 40 to 50 minutes. Cool 1 hour. 8 servings.
